I'm using Asset 4.1 to stream FLAC files (both 2 channel and multi-channel). Files are stored on an HP WHS and are being sent to a NetGear NeoTV 550, which is connected via HDMI to my AVR. A few issues have arisen.
First, my FLAC files play via Asset on the NetGear only if I set Asset to transcode the files as WAV. That's not a problem, esp. bec. I want to apply replay gain and (as I learned from a prior post), the transcoding is thus necessary. Unfortunately, when I check replay gain in Asset's settings (as well as set the preamp controls to -3), I get nothing but white noise. If I uncheck replay gain, the files play fine. Any suggestions to solve that issue?
Second, w/regard to multi-channel. The NetGear definitely plays multi-channel when it accesses the server via NFS or SMB. But, when I try to access the multi-channel files via Asset, I get white noise. Any setting in Asset that I can tweak to fix this issue?
Thanks.
