    where is my music?

I am a happy user of Asset UPnp and advertise my friends to use it :-)
However there is a (little) problem I have with it
    My gear:
    Windows Vista 64 bits enterprise
Asset UPnP release 3 registered, I use it as a service
My Music (Flac) resides on a QNAP NAS, In Asset UPnP I use a network share, no problems with this
    Network is wired
My stream client is an Oppo BDP83ES
I use the option to stream the FLAC as LPCM, works fine, also hires files are played correctly

So... what seems to be the problem...

The tracks in certain folders are not shown in the menu on the Oppo.
I checked, there are normal Flac's in those folders which play well on the vomputer
Of course I already tried restarting the service, detecting changes and refresh all... no luck.
I also tried to start from scratch, throw away the connected path (unc like \\nas\path) and after rebooting reconnect them, no luck here eather.

Can someone please help me with this? Does Asset UPnP have problems with certain FLAC files, resulting in not showing them in the client?

What I will do later today is check another client (a mediaplayer) if this does show the same files,, to rule out the possibility it is the client which is to blame.
So far the Oppo recognizes and plays all kinds of FLAC files, alse 24/96 for example in it's native reolution really well

If I can solve this I have the perfect music stream server :-)

Try browsing as Advanced Search >> File & Folder Browsing to locate those files.

I already use Folders & Filename Browsing, but thanks for the tip

It's not that I lost these files, but they don't show in the DLNA client, my Oppo.

Perhaps they have a .fla extension rather .flac

          Re: where is my music?

All stored files are .flac (or .mp3)
I am totally confused, some directory with a thousand flac files show, album with just 11 tracks don't (all flac)

Is it possible that I have to make a device profile for the Oppo or something like that?
I already use the setting to stream a flac as LPCM, which works fine for the tracks which ae visible.
I need to do this because the Oppo doesn't play Flac.

You need to look at the file extension in windows explorer

Are the missing tracks 24 or 16 bit?

                Re: where is my music?

I think I figured it out.
There is a setting L24 (24bit LPCM) supported.
My Oppo can play hires format flac 24/96 etc. so you expexct that you have to check that setting...
All hires flacs are not shown with this setting

When I UNCHECK it all files show and play well. On the amp I can see that the high resolution is played.

Weird that you have to uncheck an option to use (so it seems) or am I thinking the wrong way around this?

thanks all for the help solving this (I thought I had this setting correct before when I could play the files involved)

                  Re: where is my music?

The oppo does not support 24 bit LPCM which is designated as L24, it only support L16

Yes, I suspected this might be the issue.

It's a shame that OPPO have never resolved the issue of playing back full 24bit/96khz hi-resolution files in Asset UPnP.

Funny thing is that those files seem to play well.
In the display of my Rotel processor it reads 96khz when such a file is played.
That is why I am a bit confused about the setting in Asset Upnp (whether to check it or not)

The new 93 and 95 play flac natively, maybe this issue is solved that way.

As I stated before, I am quit happy with the way my FLAC files are served by Asset Upnp, so I don't have to use MP3...

The files play back OK, but not at 24bit. The BDP-83SE is getting 16bit files.
