I am a happy user of Asset UPnp and advertise my friends to use it :-)
However there is a (little) problem I have with it
My gear:
Windows Vista 64 bits enterprise
Asset UPnP release 3 registered, I use it as a service
My Music (Flac) resides on a QNAP NAS, In Asset UPnP I use a network share, no problems with this
Network is wired
My stream client is an Oppo BDP83ES
I use the option to stream the FLAC as LPCM, works fine, also hires files are played correctly
So... what seems to be the problem...
The tracks in certain folders are not shown in the menu on the Oppo.
I checked, there are normal Flac's in those folders which play well on the vomputer
Of course I already tried restarting the service, detecting changes and refresh all... no luck.
I also tried to start from scratch, throw away the connected path (unc like \\nas\path) and after rebooting reconnect them, no luck here eather.
Can someone please help me with this? Does Asset UPnP have problems with certain FLAC files, resulting in not showing them in the client?
What I will do later today is check another client (a mediaplayer) if this does show the same files,, to rule out the possibility it is the client which is to blame.
So far the Oppo recognizes and plays all kinds of FLAC files, alse 24/96 for example in it's native reolution really well
If I can solve this I have the perfect music stream server :-)
