    Re: Wrong file/track count

Thanks spoon, I have downloaded that - i like it.

I think I know what the problem is, but not why the problem is.

I'll explain Using Feeder's "Echo Park" Album

In the log, I see this:

    C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\01 - Standing On The Edge.wav
    Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\02 - Buck Rogers.wav
    Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\03 - Piece By Piece.wav
Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\04 - Seven Days In The Sun.wav
    Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\05 - We Can't Rewind.wav
    Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\06 - Turn.wav
    Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\07 - Choke.wav
    Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\08 - Oxygen.wav
Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\09 - Tell All Your Friends.wav
    Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\10 - Under The Weather.wav
    Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\11 - Satellite News.wav
    Adding New Track: C:\Users\Public\Music\Feeder\Echo Park\12 - Bug.wav

But the above seems to "appear" with many others in the "unknown" listing, they all so far appear to be wavs, no flacs have appeared there.. Im not sure why they are unknown if the name/track details etc appear in the log?

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    AJ

If your wave files have no I'd tags then in asset do the advanced search >> file & folder browsing

It is a folder, you should be able to browse your collection by filename

            Hi there,

There is nothing to see, open or click under advanced search > folders and filename browsing.

Run the program 'uMediaLibrary-dumpdb.exe' which can be found in:

              %program files%\illustrate\dbpoweramp

then load the results into Excel, these are the files Asset Knows about.

                Re: Wrong file/track count

                Thanks spoon,

iI have run that .exe, i can only work out how to save as not pad.I can see that Asset 'knows about' a huge amount of files that appear to have ended up as unknown despite the artist album info being there. these all default to unknown in the upnp server, i need to be able to see the album artist info so i can use the files.

                1. How do I "make" them appear as album artist or
                2. Am I best to do a conversion to FLAC ?

if 2. will all the tags and cover info etc come over?

                Thanks for your help.

My preference is to see the artist/album file info for te current wav files.

                Thanks

                AM i bvest

                  Hi,

Does anyone have any idea on how to get to "see " the .wav files that are coming up as "unknown"

                  Thanks !

I think your wave files do not have ID Tags, look in Codec Central >> Utility Codecs

There is one called Tag from filename, you can use this if the files are named the same way.
