    Wrong file/track count

    Hello,

I'm currently ripping all my CD in FLAC in order to stream it to a Naim Uniti using a full premium registered version of Asset UPnP.

My library content is actually 5833 tracks. SqueezeBox Server & TwonkyMedia Server displays exactly 5833 tracks.

Asset UPnP count is only 5718 tracks ! 155 tracks are missing so.
I've done a "refresh all" and restart, try a fresh install ... same result : 5718 tracks counted before the scan, 5718 tracks in the final library... 155 tracks are missing. Asset seems to ignore it.

the asset-debug.txt log show a count of 5718 too... and no error.

Can you help me Spoon ? Do you have an idea ?

I ran my Asset UPnP over CrossOver Mac.

    Thanks.

You would have to find which track(s) were missing (you only need one) the send to me please:

Thanks for your reply Spoon... within near 5800 tracks ... it will be very difficult and can be very long !

The album count is 365 with Asset and 366 with both SqueezeCenter or Twonky.
1 album & 115 tracks ... It do some search & I have no album that list 115 track ! It seems there is some inconsistency somewhere...

Spoon, do you have another idea than explore one by one, +5000 tracks ?

Try to identify which album is missing.

          Spoon,

Problem solved : in fact, all files (MP3) with ID3 tags version 2.4 are not seen (???). I rework it using ID3 v2.3 and the problem is solved :komisch9:

And more news ... some of the missing files are back... but I just discover another problem (linked) but not due to Asset :

CrossOver Mac v10 (latest) don't show all files from a SMB share drive... I discover this using a Tags Editor ... the editor, running in CrossOver too see the same number of files than Asset... logically is it so a CrossOver "bug".

              Hi there,

I have the same problem, my audio library consists of 3 locations with a total of circa 1400 albums in WAV and FLAC.

Only 209 are detected, does Asset support wav files? this may explain the foible.

              Thanks very much...

                  Thanks spoon.

I though I would start again, I uninstalled/reinstalled Asset, then just selected the public music folder on laptop (windows 7) which has 100 + albums on it.

Any idea on where I start to look for the problem?

                  thanks.

                  AJ

Enable the debug option in Asset Configuration >> Advanced, trigger a full scan (refresh all) then when finished look at the log.

                        Advanced Settings >> Edit

Under 'General Settings' is Ouput Debug Log and a button 'View Debug Log', put a check mark there, click Ok (Asset should restart), rescan, then go back after the scan and click the 'View Debug Log' button.

Install Asset Control on your Windows PC:

Asset Control (a UPnP / DLNA control point) is billed as the control point you have been waiting for . In UPnP there are: Server / Control Point / Renderer, where the Server catalogues tracks, Control Point creates playlists from the Server and controls the Renderer (player), all 3 elements of UPnP could reside on the same

Then browse Asset UPnP (the server), see if the albums appear.
