    dBpoweramp Music Converter R14.2

If this beta is installed over the top of an existing dBpoweramp registered install (without uninstalling old), it will remain registered. This beta will time out July 2012.

    Changes r14.2:

Album Art Search from Internet Updated
ALAC encoder writing correct internal sample count
Musicbrainz working with NGS changes, also updated to our new musicbrainz server

Bug Fix: Uninstall could leave the Windows Property details page for previously registered formats (such as mp3) inoperable

    Thank you.

This resolves the same issue in the explorer intergration as well. On Win7 (and perhaps earlier versions of Windows as well), a reboot might be required to get it working. (It was for me.)

    Take care
    Gary

When inserting CD2 from a set dBpoweramp (both R14.1-Ref and r14.2-beta) now retrieves MusicBrains meta-data from CD1. I believe there recently was some server changes at MusicBrains.

is there any problem with the music converter/id tag editor interacting with my synology ds410 nas?

It would retry the save if it cannot access the share, perhaps it has only read access to the NAS. Test with some files local to the PC first.

For multi-disc sets BOTH MB & freedb are pulling the oposite disc. So if disc 1 is inserted, MB & freedb pull the meta-data for disc 2, and if disc 2 is inserted, MB & freedb pull the meta-data for disc 1.

You would have to try more than one disc, because freedb is not linked to box sets like musicbrainz is.

I have actually seen this on 2 or 3 sets. Just reporting what I experienced, not sure how it got that way.

I was running multiple rips at one time today with multiple instances of the ripper for multiple drives.

I guess there was a write error on some of the ripped files. The rips showed errors but I didn't pay attention and there is nothing in the logs.

On re-inserting the discs to rerip the effected tracks the "error" was now gone, and replaced with an "accurate rip". However, on examining the ripped files, the files in the folders are just the "shells" meta-data without any audio.

If there are any problems, even in writing the files, dbpoweramp should continue to display error on re-insterting the disc. This is how I know what files to re-rip.

just ran across 2 more pre-emphasis discs.

Spoon, its already detected, PLEASE just give us the option to add the info to the meta-data. Is it really that difficult?
