How do I eliminate the brief audio silences between tracks on a live cd when I am converting cd audio discs to MP3 format?

I have used the volume fade (in and out) on some live trax
to remediate the sudden gap, it shelps somewhat. Is this
about the best I can hope for? Will these effects be
encoded on the MP3 files so they work in other
media players, or just the Dbpower one?

If you have applied the effects during conversions, then they will be part of the resulting file, the file would have effectively been modified. If it's just through dAP, then it is limited to play by dAP.
