Selective Play in dAP

Hey,
I've been checking out the new beta of dAP and, as with the old versions, when I do selective play, and then highlight everything, instead of just trying to highlight what I want, and say play, it still plays everything.
Also, could there be a way to view my collection by just Artist so that I just see my list of artists, and selecting one selects all songs by that artist? Same with album and others. Or even, when I right click on a song, could there be the option to play artist, like there is for album?

I'm a bit confused. What exactly is your problem with selective play?

As to your other request have you tried using the 'Select same artist' option followed by enqueue?

No, I didn't see the same artist, thanks

Regarding Selective Play, is there a way that only what is ticked through the 'selective play' options gets selected when I say play? That seems to be the point of selective play, but when it is on, and I say play all, it plays everything, not just what should play through selective play. Sorry this isn't clear, it is somewhat difficult to describe.
