File Extension

File Extension

My audio file is mis named in the extension as an .rar file.
It plays fine but need to change to a proper extension to be visable in db converter.
I've installed the dbpower amp codec for rename extension but cant find it?
Where is it and will it help?

Are you sure it's an audio file? the .rar extension indicates an archived file, akin to a .zip file. You have to un-zip it using the winrar program before you can do anything with it further. Only then you'll know what type of file it is in any case.
