    Another "Silent Install" Query

    Hello Spoon,

Am I wondering, if you would incorporate another switch, or replace the "<Silent>" install switch, for an unattended install? The main reason is because the "<" and ">" signs cause several conflicts with my unattended installation disc.
I understand this may be a bit much to ask, but if you would be so kind to do so I would be forever grateful.
However, if, for whatever reason you decide/wish/can not incorporate the additional installer switches it is definitely understandable, and most certainly will not turn me nor my company's users away from your excellent program.

    Best Regards,
    Derek

My apologies, I was a bit hasty in my post and did not notice a more-suited forum for this topic.

    Sincerely,
    Derek

It shouldn't cause a conflict if the install is all in quotes, ie:

      "a:\setup.exe" <Silent>

Indeed but when run from a batch file, CMDLINES.TXT, or other methods it will report a syntax error during the unattended installation.

If you have Visual C v6 you can download the source, do a global search and replace for <Silent> and you will be ok.

              Re: It's possible from batch

              Hello

Excuse for my poor english, I'm french.

              For batch file :

              start /wait dmc-r10.exe "<Silent>"
tskill MusicConverter (or taskkill MusicConverter, it depends of your OS)

              Be careful : "<Silent>" and not "<silent>"

When a french translation of DbpowerAmp ?

there is a french forum: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35
i do remember talk on tranlating into french. but not sure what happened.

when Rossroy comes back perhaps discussions on this can start again? as it is a big job.
