Mac OS x R15.5 Ripper issues

When attempting to open CDRipper the program locks and and I need to force quit to get out of it. Convertor and Batch Convertor work fine.

Has CD Ripper ever worked before? what happens if you leave it for a minute or 2?

Re: Mac OS x R15.5 Ripper issues

I have similar issues with OSX 10.10.5 and dBpoweramp R15.5.

I have a modern pc, running a Hackintosh installation with a PCI IDE addon card (that takes ages during boot to recognize the drives hooked up to it)

I usually run two instances of dbAmp, and quite regularly my two PX-230A Plextor drives will just start spinning or spin/seek cycling after inserting disc/discs, and it will take many minutes before dBpoweramp actually starts looking up the metadata. During this the drives are unresponsive and I get the nice beach ball mouse cursor.

If the operating system is taking a long time to detect the drives on boot-up, then it is likely doing the same when a new disc is inserted. You can see if iTunes is the same, if it is then the issue is outside of dBpoweramp.

Only during BIOS bootup sequence, otherwise no problems. Seems to come at pure random, the other (identical) drive could detect the disc immediately where the other would take ages.
