Asset UPnP for Linux, R4.6.4 beta 6

    Version: R4.6.4 beta 6

    Downloads:

    Changes since R4.6.3
    • Reworked build process, now using cross-compilation instead of compiling on target devices which was slow, messy and error prone; all targets upgraded to newer GCC versions than before.
    • Fixed internet radio functionality not working on specific systems with old glibc installed.
    • Fixed incompatibility with very old Linux kernels introduced a few versions ago.
    • Fixed build configuration glitch causing some parts of the codebase to be built unoptimized. Raspberry and slow QNAPs should browse faster now.
    • Now possible to edit control point overrides via web configuration page.
    • Added more patterns for detecting disc number values from album title tags
    • Fixed reading of iTunes 'compilation' tag from MP3 files with ID3v2.2 tags.
    • Prevented display of hidden playlist files, .filename.m3u
    • If an indexed folder appears inaccessible, its contents are not pruned from the library until explicitly removed by the user.
    • Fixed various bugs related to use of --ipaddress command-line switch on multi-IP-address systems.

Is there a timeframe for the introduction of DSD, DXD support?

Hey Spoon - I'll be in the first 10 buyers when DSD support for Linux is released. Great product, thanks as always for your creativity and hard work.

Was there any significant performance benefit from the RPi 3 over the 2?

I got a performance boost over the original version, but only significant when the quad-core CPU was leveraged.

Hopefully the R5 version can be optimized for a the quad-core architecture of RPi 2 and 3

              Thanks,
              Simon.

                R4.7 is now available:
This is a stable (non beta) release; registered packages will be available from the website shortly. This is the last R4 release; from now on we work on bringing R5 to OSX & Linux. Changes since the previous stable version [OSX] Fixed bugs related to playlists folders in the configuration dialog [Linux] Reworked
