    Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP

Thanks for the trial version, it's a great job.

I have a question, I have made myself albums (flac) with various artists with MediaMonkey.
The asset shows the songs as a separate album.
I had also previously the double CD with an album on my N-Stream.
The Twonky server displays the albums correctly.
    I am using N-stream.
Can you tell me the right settings, I have now 200 albums more.

    Thank you

    Andrey

If you have album artist set, then browse Advanced Search >> Album Artist / Album

otherwise you can add the Compilation tag as '1' to the file ID tags and Asset will treat as Various Artist albums.

        Thanks, this is most useful.
Please try running Asset with --upnponly switch, like this:
        ./AssetUPnP --upnponly
Does it keep running or does it crash and return to command prompt?

I'm sorry, I do not know how to do that.

          Thanks

            Hi PeterP,

Doing it, the following come out :

            [/share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/Test9/bin] * ./AssetUPnP --upnponly
            Segmentation fault
            [/share/MD0_DATA/.qpkg/Test9/bin] *

Of course no process get started on the NAS neither....

            Regards,

You would use a tag editing program, either dBpoweramp or something like mp3tag.

The install is handled externally to Asset, it is a qpkg, the the nas installs it its self (just copying files). Try rebooting the NAS then retry.

Anyone who has an arm x19 Qnap and have problems opening the config page, we have a special test version, uninstall Test9, install:

If it works you should be able to get to the asset configuration page from App Center.

                          Hi Spoon,

Thanks for the quick fix. I do confirm it is now working on my TS-419P+, and even publishing on the Network. I'm know in a position to try all functionality.

                          Regards,

I thought QNAP *59 series were Intel Atom but running 32-bit Linux? We don't currently provide a build for such. Did you install the version for x86-64 on yours?

                              Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP

After 3 days of multiple tests, nothing special to report so far. It took some time for the scanning to complete and eated up to 85% of ressources, but once this step over, CPU usage is very low (approx 0.9%) event while "in use".

Only the radio feature need to be further tested.

Thanks a lot for this great job  !!!
