    Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP

Is there also a build that runs on a TS-639? I tried the Intel build in the OP, but get wrong architecture.

To build one we have to buy this unit, I do not think there are popular enough to warrant such a build.

            Hi Spoon,

I have held off all weekend to ask this question but... :D

Do you need any more information from me to try and diagnose the issue from the previous page?

            Thanks.

[ also relevant to anyone else having the same problem - configuration page entirely inaccessible ]

                      1. *DISABLE* the Asset app to make sure it's not running, using QNAP App Center.

                      2. Please log in to your QNAP unit using SSH.

                      3. Navigate to your Asset QPKG installation directory.
                      Example:
                      cd /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/Test8/bin
Exact path may vary depending on your QNAP model (the "HDA_DATA" part - some configurations use "MD0_DATA" instead) and Asset version (the "Test8" part) installed.

                      4. Run Asset manually
                      ./AssetUPnP
If it fails to start up, it ought to show some useful information bits there.
Please post what exactly the console says after starting Asset.
In order to quit the running Asset process you've started, press Ctrl+C.

                        Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP

Testing the same. All fine except streaming 192/24 Flac files. I am using Pioneer Elite N 30 as streamer. I've the streamer connected to the NAS over AC router and router bridge.

The sound is crackling with lot of noise.

All other works fine. But having hi res 192/24 support is important.

I don't have this problem with the same setup with Twonky.

Any way I can increase the buffer at Asset's size to solve this problem ?

                        Regards,
                        Sourav

                          Hi All,

Owner of a TS-419P+ und 4.1.0, I was never able to open the web so far. Trying the above is not solving the issue.

I see the Asset process starting (eating approx 40% at the beginning) then a second Asset process being created upon request to open the webpage. But nothing else happens.
Asset is also not appearing on any media renderer.

                          Hope this helps.

As a test (if you can) connect the QNAP and pioneer without the AC plugs.
