    converting from m4a to flac

I just started using dbpoweramp and am trying to convert a copy of my entire itunes library of m4a files to flac. This question has probably been asked before, so I apologzie in advance for asking. Having said that how do I "replace" the m4a files. At present, when the files are converted Iend up with both m4a and flac versions of the same songs.

    Thanks.

There is the DSP effect 'delete source file' use carefully.

Also make sure your m4a files are Apple Lossless, not aac.

Good point. You *can* do it, but probably shouldn't. That is, converting lossy files (aac or mp3) to lossless (FLAC) will not magically undo the lossy nature of the original rip. You'll just have much bigger files for no reason. Of course apple lossless to FLAC is lossless to lossless and is fine....
