splitting tracks

Is it possible to "chop up" for example a 2 min track in smaller bits. Like just using the first 10 secs of it in a loop for example? Then importing it into flash. The importing part is fine but i need to know about editing, if not, can anyone recommend any good software for this?

Or, you could try out Audacity, a free alternative.
