Getting higher volume levels when applying RG

    Hi

I used the Batch Converter to generate a copy of my library which is higher compressed and and also applied Replay Gain (Album) to be used in my car.
The tracks now sound equally loud. However, the absolute level seems to be much lower and switching back and forth between DAB...

    Replay Gain Skips Track

dBpa 16.4 RG5 Winx64. RG codec set to Track and Album gain. Album selected and codec runs. However one 24 second track is skipped - nothing written to the tags. The other tracks are fine. By contrast, JRiverMC 'sees' the track and can add the tags, but JRMC is not my preferred utility for this purpose....

Adding Replay Gain or EBU R128 to HiRes files

    Hello,

I have just purchased my first albums in HiRes.

I have noticed that in both my HiFi system (NAD C368 with BlueOs module connected to a NAS) and in the car sound system (VW Discover Pro compatible with HiRes FLAC through SD cards or HDD connected to any of the USB...

Batch processing files with Replay Gain

    Hello,

I want to insert the RG- und iTunNORM-tags into my audio files on the Mac. They are in the iTunes music folder. When I start the Batch Converter I get asked to what format the files shall converted. But I just want dbpa to write the RG-tags into the file and no conversion of the...

    Replay Gain settings/iTunes Normalization

I've searched through the forum's and help guides but I didn't really find an answer to my ReplayGain (not RP apply) setting questions. I do CD ripping for clients and I've started to think it would be a good idea to include RG tags just in case their media player of choice can read and use them. I...

    replay gain

    Hi,

Quick question about the replay gain.

I'm finding that tracks ripped with the replay gain facility on tend to turn the gain up during the quiet parts of a track, and limit the gain during louder parts, making the whole track sound the same volume.

    Which...

  • Problems with Explorer Integration of Batch Converter and with Replay Gain

    Hi,

I have the Family Pack of dBpoweramp Reference R15.1 and as far I can see the tested Parts of the programms including Replay Gain Codec for the Music Converter are working fine on my old PC with Windows XP.

Now I have copyed the Installationfiles from my XP-PC to my...

Replay Gain vs Volume Normalize DSP's

In reviewing my dBPoweramp settings, and bringing things up to date, I reset the Replay Gain (no apply) R128 setting to -18 dB LUFS, which makes more sense for consumer use (as opposed to -23, which is required of TV broadcasters). In doing that, I noticed that for the M3A rip settings (but not the...

Replay Gain - dbPoweramp vs. Foobar

Why are the replay gain values different in dbPoweramp and foobar? I ripped a cd using dbPoweramp cd ripper and used the DSP effect, replay gain. I also ripped the cd without the DSP replay gain and then used foobar to add the replay gain tag values. Below are my results. I'm curious has to why...

Dilemma about using replay gain and EQ DSPs together

    Hello,

I'm new in using dbpoweramp, so I'm not much skilled in it. I wanted to ask about my problem:

I have few hundreads of CDs ripped in flac and I want to use all of them in my iPod with some EQ. However iPod's equalizer is very crappy - EQ is applied after amplifying...

  • about the recently introduced EBUR128 replay gain (EBUR128 Normalize DSP)

    Hi,

I just tried out the new EBUR128 DSP with its standard settings and noticed right away that the Replay_Gain tag values are not filled as with Replay_Gain DSP. At least they do not appear in jRiver Media Center 17. However the music sounds to be normalized.
    Is the gain applied...

Replay Gain not Working (Sansa Clip Zip)

I just purchased a Sansa Clip Zip yesterday to playback my new FLAC files and the track info displayed on the Clip Zip does not show the Replay Gain value. The Clip Zip manual says it should be present in track info on the player if the Replay Gain value was embedded in the file and able to be used...

    Best lossless codec?

I have ripped all my cd's to mp3 using lame with the "extreme" setting and have been happy with the results. They take up about 75 gigs on my iPod classic.

I am now considering whether I should make archival rips to future proof my collection. My main criteria is that I be...
