I was under the impression that if I added a Genre type different to what is on the drop down list, the new genre name would be added to the list. Clearly this does not happening so is my assumption incorrect or do I need to alter a setting?

Karl

Using CD ripper databases to tag music files?
I am quite happy by the CD ripper professional tagging of music files using the databases (AMG, SonataDB, Music Brainz, Freedb). Congratulations!

To do so, a possibility is to have an additional... -

Adding additional Genre type
I like to use additional Genre types, other than the ones in the drop down list in the program.
A new Genre type seems not to be stored for use next time.
How do I add a new Genre type to the dropdown list ?

Errors changing Genre mp3 metadata
In Windows 7 Explorer, dbPoweramp offers a context menu to modify id-tags. When I change the genre field on a .mp3 file, sometimes the change doesn't appear in either Explorer or in the Audacity metadata editor (they show the genre field as empty, and so does the Sonos music library), though the dbpoweramp... -
