Ability to save, export, and choose whole environments in dBpoweramp
Currently, there is the possibility to save different settings for DSP effect which includes custom tagging, for each individual codec. However, there's no option to save setups for, say, the multi-encoder. In addition, I have dBpoweramp Music Converter settings with format and tagging options for... -
Can't Rip a Complete CD Without Hanging
I just rebuilt Intel Core 2 Quad CPU desktop with 8 GB of RAM & Win7Pro. Purchased R16.3 after using 14.4 for years.
As I get back to ripping, I find that tracks hang on encoding frequently. I can't rip an entire CD without hanging. Running multi-core helps; but one or more of the... -
Not CPU encoding
I upgraded to 16.2 from 15.3 and installed PerfectTunes. The CD Ripper reads the disks, but will not encode. The program simply locks up after a number of tracks have been ripped with multiple secure passes. But the program eventually stops/locks up with CPU Encoding = 0%. I have reinstalled and... -
FLAC encoding produces corrupt file for short silent track
Hi,
I just ripped some CDs to FLAC and had an issue with the FLAC endoder: On one of the CDs, there is a 15 second silent track separating the regular album from two bonus tracks. The FLAC file for this track cannot be properly read in foobar2000 while all other tracks can. If I encode... -
Best ripping format for future encoding?
Hello,
I am about to reencode my 200+ disc library and as I don't know what kind of encoding I would need in the future,I would like to know what is best the best ripping output format I could use so I can encode it later with the exact same quality as if I directly ripped and encoded... -
Program hangs.
Hi, been very satisfied with DBPoweramp so far. Lately, CD Ripper hangs after second CD ripped, during the encoding part. Cleaned CD lens but still hangs.
Any advise? -
What can affect the most your rip and encoding quality?
The title pretty much explains my subject. I have been using dbPoweramp for more than a year now and as I decided to enter the long process of ripping my whole library with FLAC I was wondering what is the ideal usage of the computer (software or hardware) to not affect too much the ripping and encoding...Last edited by Ucodia; April 14, 2012, 12:08 AM. -
Some questions about the Lame encoder
Hi.
On the Lame section of the main site, it says:
mp3 (Lame) encoder is on a 21 day trial, Tompson hold various patents for mp3 encoding & decoding,
Does this mean that if the trial of the program was used, after the 21 days, Lame could no longer be... -
Music Converter Encoding Speed
Just bought the full registered version. I am converting my flac files to MP3 at Quality (VBR) Medium. The problem I am having is that the encoding speed is only topping out at around 2x. I have tried a test conversion and am getting 887x.
My specs are: i5 730, ATI HD 5770 black, 8 GB... -
Flac to MP3 (lame) encoding algorithms
Hi,
When encoding to MP3 (lame) CBR320 what is the actual difference between three possible encoding algorithms apart encoding time?
(Algorithms in use are Slow, Normal and Fast)
Speed seems to roughly double from Slow to Fast but end result file size is the same.

mp3 LAME | Advanced Options: Channels
Hello,
It would be nice if this section was added to the application's Help Menu. In the meantime, could you indicate how the Music Converter handles each option.
Thanks!
