    Batch Ripper: Meta-data

Users of the Batch Ripper get 400 free lookups from AMG. Beyond this, lookups must be purchased here. Please note only purchase 1 commercial license per transaction, do NOT purchase multiples of the lookups in a single purchase (2 x 100 lookups).

Copied from the Batch Ripper Options Help file:
    Active Providers

Sets which meta data providers are to be used, if the option Intelligent Meta From all Enabled Providers is enabled then all providers checked are used simultaneously and errors in the meta data are removed by cross checking results from all providers. Of the providers All Media Guide (AMG) and GD3 are commercial providers and charge a per disc look up rate, freedb and MusicBrainz are free to use. AMG can be used both commercially or uncommercially, when used uncommercially an active one year PerfectMeta licence is required and lookups are limited to 400 discs, after 400 discs only commercial lookups can be used. AMG licences are purchased by clicking the [ Purchase ] button, then create a new account, multiple computers can use the same account details.

GD3 operates in a similar manor to AMG in that an account is created (independent of normal GD3 commercial accounts) by clicking [ Acquire Username Password ], again the same name and password can be used on multiple computers.
Please note that this counter does NOT reset if you start using up the 400 during the trial and then purchase Reference or when purchasing another year of PerfectMeta.

Edit: Also, please note, all lookups are disc-based, not track-based.

    Re: Batch Ripper: Meta-data

Q: With the normal AMG license, I get 400 lookups on the Batch Ripper. But when I check, it says no lookups remaining.

A: If a commercial username and password are entered, the batch ripper switches to commercial lookup mode. Remove AMG login details to get your 400 lookups.

      Re: Batch Ripper: Meta-data

      Further details:

You do NOT get ANY free lookups with GD3. As mentioned in the first post, it always requires an account and paid lookups.

The AMG or GD3 lookups you have purchased do not have any effect on your PerfectMeta license. PerfectMeta only applies to the CD Ripper.
Meta-Data use in Batch Ripper will use whatever sources are available: FreeDB and MusicBrainz are always accessible, AMG and GD3 are used if the accounts are set up (or the 400 lookups are available in regards to AMG).
