I've said this before but I'll say it again as it was a long time ago! What I really think dAP would benefit from is some sort of API that will allow other people to write add-ons to satisfy the needs of some or all of these wish list items (and other things) rather than everything having to be done centrally.
If you look at WinAmp or Slimserver, amongst others, they have an API and there are loads of add-ons for both that people other than the initial author(s) have written. This all adds to the functionality of the product.
