Direct Stream Copy Mode

Indeed, some actions such as cutting audio or transforming a wave-mp3 compressed file into a real mp3 file are often performed by reencoding the file, which have for consequence a lose of quality. But for these actions, the reencoding process is not necessary. So it would be fantastic to have a "direct stream copy" option, like in Virtualdub, which could let us to do these actions (and others) without reencoding the audio.
