I posted a reply to a request for parental controls in Asset over in the Asset forum and then realized I should post a feature request here.
I really like the way Microsoft implements the parent controls on Windows Media Player 11/Connect 4. The tracks/albums can be tagged with a parental rating. WMC understands this tagging and allows one to configure per device the media that's viewable and/or playable based on the parental ratings. It also allows control based on the "Star Rating" of each track/album. It's very powerful.
Please take a look at how WMP/WMC implements parental controls and consider implementing a similar feature in Asset.
