trying to burn music to dvd-a?

My car cd/dvd player will not play mp3s. It supposedly will play dvd-a. I thought I could possibly put many songs on a dvd using this format. I know that there is a program called diskwelder out there,but has anyone else had any success with any other programs? Or maybe another solution.
