According to this thread, it doesn't.
Is it possible to install Asset on a Seagate Personal Cloud NAS (mac System) and if so how can it be achieved? I have installed Asset on my Mac which installed into Music, which is not where I want it. I don't seem able to configure it and I was not given options as where i would like it to be. The Personal Cloud has a manual

Don't think that I can install this on a Seagate Personal Cloud. Unless someone knows how? Seems to need a .rbw type file..
    Thanks

Regarding the Foobar2000 mobile search, I think I see what the OP is seeing, and because I installed the mobile app on my iPhone a few days ago maybe the OP and I need some education on the mobile app.
When I start the app, I get a screen titled Browse, and there is a spyglass icon which I can use to search the music on my iPhone. At the bottom of the Browse screen there is a Media Servers option. If I tap it, I get a screen showing my NAS, WDMyCloudMirror. If I tap it, I get a screen with options, Music, Photos, Videos. If I tap Music, I get a screen that has options, Album, All Tracks, Artist, Artist Index, and seven more. There is no search option on this screen. If I tap, Album, I get a list of the albums that exist on my WDMyCloudMirror, and there is no search option on this screen. I think the OP was looking for a search option on the Music screen. If there is a search for that screen, how can it be activated? I'm beginning to think search is only available on the Browse screen either by using the spyglass or the Advanced Search option.
Ok. Sorry, my misunderstanding on search in foobar mobile. I was only referring to search for music on my iPhone (spyglass). I dont use foobar mobile to access server.

Thanks. Just to finish up. Thanks for everones time.
I guess I will just have to get a better NAS that has more options. Guess you get what you pay for although for most things the Seagate is fine so as as price point device it has served me well. Just be nice if it had better server options but it is what it is.
The dev of the music app got back.
Summary of his comments just out of interest.
    That makes sense.
Unfortunately there's no way (that I know of) for the app to tell Twonky to search by Artist rather than AlbumArtist (when getting the list of artists that match the search criteria).
When you do a search from the app, three (UPnP) search requests are actually sent to the media server. They are:
    1. Return all albums whose name or creator matches the search criteria (it's up to the server to decide what creator means - usually artist).
    2. Return all artists whose name matches the search criteria (it's up to the server to decide if it wants to return Artists or AlbumArtists. The UPnP protocol doesn't make a distinction between the two)
    3. Return all tracks whose title matches the search criteria
The only solution I can think of is for me to extend the 3rd query to also match on the artist. Presumably when searching individual tracks this would use the artist tag and not album artist. But of course things aren't that simple because this sort of query doesn't work at all with some servers. I'm not sure if it will actually work with Twonky.
I'll add this to my bug list but to be honest it's probably not something I'll get a chance to look at in the short term.

Mobile foobar 2000, the search is an extended version of Assets search, there is more you can do when have control of the whole app (such as list top matching artists, albums and titles based on any search).

Hmmm, foobar2000 has an excellent search facility, so I find it hard to believe the mobile version has no search facility at all.
I have mobile foobar2000 and search works very well.

Yep your right, Soundtouch 30. Soundtouch app the worst IMO so dont take much notice of Bose...but found that the HiFi Cast app will work with it and possibly the Bose 535 etc or it does on a 535 at a friends place anyway.
Agree Twonky is not the preferred option if I had the $ I would get a Synology or QNAP etc but alas.
Be nice if someone could tune up Foobar2k to do a proper search function..maybe worth paying a fee for if it could present the most required metadata properly.
Track Name + Artist + Album + Album Cover + Composer and be able to search for songs and artists whether in a compilation album or a "normal" album. Its does most of these things already and sounds good.
Just after some good old fashioned old reliabilty / stability / serviceability and functionality.
Maybe if the apps had a few more settings to expand / make available settings like you mention Sonos seems to do to give more choices that suits the user.

I think your son has a SoundTouch 30 because the only Soundlink models I found are Revolve and Revolve+. With my SoundTouch app there is an option called Artist Index. In the app tap your NAS then Music and the search list should display Artist Index as an option. Using this option I can find artists that are in my musicals and soundtracks but not in compilations. I have to scan the index by letters, ABC, DEF, etc. and cannot search it. I have to scroll through each group of artists. I haven&*8217;t had a chance to experiment but maybe I can&*8217;t find artists in my compilations because the compilation tag is 1. I know this doesn&*8217;t help with your other players, but it might help with the Bose app.

I have Twonky on my WDMYCLOUDMIRROR NAS but I don&*8217;t use it

    Adding:
No settings available for compilations like in Sonos in the player apps used.
App developer has now responded this am and now has some system info from my android device taken during a search for artist senario.
Hopefully may be some progress but I will have to wait and see.
I must say that if it was easy then probably all apps would be able to do it that have a search function.
    See what happens
    Thanks

3.Bluetooth speaker Sony and a friend has tried UE boom here. Son has a Bose Soundlink 30 when he is around.

I have 3 more questions for you.

    1. What OS is running on the Seagate Personal Cloud NAS?

    2. For confirmation, you run Twonky on the NAS as the audio server and the control points you have tried are the HiFi Cast, mconnect player HD and Bose android apps on your Samsung tablet?

    3. What is the media renderer in this setup?

I think it not ideal also and I will think hard about whether I bother doing it.
Have already raised it with the app supports but I think it must be either too hard or they are not interested in the issue.
Unlike in this forum there is no response.
So my main point raising this was to see if there was anyone who had any better way to do this..
Unfortunately as stated my choices are to probably invest in a better NAS and use other apps and servers.
The biggest frustration is that it is still a suck and see approach as I have tried many apps and wasted my money.
Thanks again for at least responding.
