In the process of reinstalling dAP and dMC, I encountered a minor pitfall regarding setting up the .flac codec. Maybe most people knkow about this, but ... just in case .. here's what happens. You download the .flac codec for dMC from Codec Central, and install it in the Illustrate folder. No problems. Then, go to Legacy Codec Central and download the .flac codec for dAP. Now, when you come to install this in dAP, you get an advisory window which says it has detected a version of the .flac codec which already exists. Do you want to replace v.5 with v.10? (Despite your trying to install it in a different folder from dMC). In other words, it is detecting the v.10 which is installed in the Illustrate
folder for dMC. So, if you unsuspectingly accept the substitute, then dAP will NOT read flac files. Hope this is clear - Tony
