    DVD Rip

So is there no way to rip a DVD and create a 1:1 image? I thought this app could do that.

The Illustrate software rips red book audio CDs (CDDA) and not DVDs/BDs etc.

Once you have software to decrypt a DVD, there are a wide range of (free) software solutions to grab a 1:1 image.

Look at this site. This software has been around quite a while.

DVDAE is an audio only extractor.

To rip entire DVDs, video and audio, take a look at MakeMKV.

DVD Audio Extractor is a great program if you just want the audio. However, it will not give you a 1:1 image of a DVD - my suggestion here would be MakeMKV.
