Switching from a GTX 1060 to a RTX 2080

Hi,

I'm currently using a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB with the cuda_10.1.105_418.96_windows driver to convert (and de-interlace some times) videos.

Is there an equivalent driver for the ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2080 AMP Extreme Core Graphics Card (NVIDIA RTX 2080, 8GB GDDDR6, 256bit, Boost Stroke 1860 MHz, 14.4 Gbps) card? Or would this one work as well?

And do you have a rough idea how much faster it would be?

All GeForce (modern cards) should work fine. I would not know how much faster it would be, sorry, you would have to have a card to test.

I've definitely seen some improvements by switching from 970 to 1080Ti a while back. I'd be surprised if you don't.

NVDIA support answer has only been that I should switch from Windows 7 to Windows 10 to see improvements.
I don't want to be bullied into using Windows 10, it's an awful system, so I sent the card back. It's almost false advertisement to provide drivers for Windows 7, and then say to the customer that they won't work as well as on Windows 10 once he bought the product.
