Can video converter convert .trp files

[Loewe2]

Got segmented .trp files (each 2G) from a Loewe set together
with one .idx file (obviously an index file to the rest)

1. Can video converter convert these files (to mp4)?

2. Can video converter put the segments together again?

You can try renaming to .mp4 then converting, you can also join files together with Video Converter.

I doubt if renaming does the job as .trp is a "high definition video file saved in the MPEG-2 Part 1 transport format; used for multiplexing digital video and audio streams and synchronizing the output; includes features for error correction and is often used in digital video broadcasting", so it is a sort of stream format.

The joining of the different segments isn't straight forward as well. The Loewe set seems to do a sort of fade out at the end of one segment and a sort of fade in at the beginning of the next segment.
