You get this error:

... SPECIFICALLY if you use "Canvas Size" DSP trying to shrink video. Please read what the DSP settings page says before asking questions.

There should be the possibility of placing the resolution. For example:
854 x 480
640 x 360
426 x 240

It is possible, I used Scale Absolute and can type values in there. If anyone has that exact one fail, then would need exact parameters as asked for so we can reproduce the failure and correct.

What you are converting from,
Converting to (exact settings)
DSP effect you are using

Until you do, there is no helping you. We would have given you the solution 2 days ago, if you did this....

what are you talking about, it should be possible to resize any video to the size you want! this happens in other software unlike you, this is just your problem!

Just tried, took a video (mp4) which was 1920x1080

Changed encoder to mp4 (H264), set to average bitrate of 2.5mbps. Added the effect 'Scale Absolute' set to: 640 360 (only this one DSP effect).

Ran the conversion and it worked fine. Try those settings, or tell me what you are converting from, to and the exact DSP using.
