    TuneFUSION and ReplayGain

Using dBpoweramp Music Converter to convert my flac albums to mp3, with the addition of the ReplayGain utility codec to write the Track, Album and iTunes Soundcheck tags, has worked flawlessly for me for many years.

TuneFUSION however, has had issues with regard to ReplayGain ever since it's release, which I have commented on previously.

Currently, using the latest version of TuneFUSION, I replicate my dBpoweramp ReplayGain utility codec settings in TuneFUSION to write Track, Album Gain & iTunes Album Normalization, but this does not work for me, as it only writes the Track gain tags.

    Please can anyone advise?

... so, can anyone confirm that the Track, Album Gain & iTunes Album Normalization is working, when TuneFUSION converts from flac to mp3?

I do not think album gain would work with TF, the design of how it processes the files would not allow for it.

Spoon, I agree and alluded to this, and it being an issue, 4 years ago.

If ReplayGain album intelligence isn't built into the TuneFusion app, then TuneFusion is only of any use, to users that do not use ReplayGain OR use Track Gain only.

This needs to be discussed further...

Not sure this information is helpful, but just in case. I use TuneFusion to convert FLAC files to mp3 to use on iPhone. I use foobar2000 mobile in the iPhone. In the Settings>Tools>ReplayGain, I have the option to select "Source Mode" as ALBUM, TRACK, or NONE. This page also has preamp settings for with and without RG. The music files on the phone are all in the "TuneFUSION" library. I don't see an easy way for me to examine the actual files to see what RG is written to files on the phone.

p.s. I select ALBUM mode on my foobar2000 mobile and it seems to work (no big volume changes between tracks when playing an entire album)
