can't sync iPad foobar2000 with Mac Tunefusion on the same wifi network

I recently purchased my first iPad and have transferred folders of music files to it and I'm looking for a player that will automatically advance to each next song in the folder. I wound up trying fubar2000 who's preferred way of syncing is tuneFusion. (I wish the player could be directed to the folder of music *already* in the iPad Files folder) I installed the application on a Mac and directed it to a flash drive with my music collection, after loading I'm trying to synchronize it with fubar2000 on my iPad and not only do the two machines not recognize one another but when I attempted to use the passcode the word ‘pair’ never lit up so it's not recognizing the passcode. The passcode that was issued would seem to have spaces after every two characters and I tried it both ways… NG. Any suggestions appreciated as I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and I'd like to get it working

    Thanks

Please make sure that your Mac's firewall isn't blocking TuneFUSION. If your iPad is on the same network as your Mac, it sounds like a firewall issue.
Meanwhile, ability to index any folder on your iOS device has been added in new foobar2000 mobile beta: https://foobar2000.org/test-ios

The firewall is/was off on my MacBook. In the passcode there are no spaces are there?

I downloaded the beta but don't see how to access local music files on the iPad. The choices are still FTP & Tunefusion, which still doesn't work.

          To access other folders:
          Settings / Media Library
          Add folder
Choose any folder you like on the device.

          As for TuneFUSION-
Passcode should work with or without spaces.
However, normally pairing should work *without* passcode. The passcode is just a workaround for networks where discovery fails.

Are you able to connect to foobar2000 FTP server from your Mac? This would imply that connecting Mac >> iPad works but not vice versa, which again hints at something blocking TuneFUSION on Mac side.
