Re: PerfectTunes not saving changes to ID tags
Try this test, create a new folder on drive C, in the root called 'MusicTest' rip 1 disc to FLAC in to that folder.
Run perfectTUNES and manually choose the image (something very different to what is already there), and click save, re-run perfecttunes, does it show the new art?Leave a comment:

Re: PerfectTunes not saving changes to ID tags
Repeatedly suggesting you aren't getting support when there are replies to every one of your vague posts is counter productive.
There are many thousands of users that have been using dbPoweramp successfully for decades. Perhaps reading the tutorials and spending some time to actually learn how it works would be a good start. @Spoon has posted several great links to documents that spell out the standard methods to get started.Leave a comment:

Re: PerfectTunes not saving changes to ID tags
Hello, just bought Perfectunes and also having problems with ID tag.
- files (AIFF and ALAC) are located on local harddrive (music folder)
- folder and file permissions are set to allow reads and writes
-Changing the album artist ID on AIFF file works with no problems
-Try do the same on a ALAC file (.m4a) and get an error "Unable to write ID tags to: XXXXX, Check these files can be written to."
- if I manually change the ID tag via file explorer and clicking on properties, that works no problems.
- Curiously I am able to edit the ID tag using the dBpoweramp batch converter (both editing a single file or multiple files)
This points to an issue with PerfecTunes.
Running windows version (downloaded the s/w yesterday 20FEB2024)
Can you please assist?
Thank you.Last edited by mil098; February 21, 2024, 07:05 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: PerfectTunes not saving changes to ID tags
The path is the location you are saving the files to, we cannot tell you what that is, as it could be unique to your computer, if you browse in Finder then you can determine the path.Leave a comment:

Re: PerfectTunes not saving changes to ID tags
Peter wants to be sure that the software has write access to your files and that those are not locked i.e. by another software.
