PerfectTunes not saving changes to ID tags

PT Release 2024-01-09 On MacOS Ventura 13.6.3 Fully registered, no restrictions, updates for life.

Was operating normally yesterday, suddenly no changes are saved in ID Tag Editor (browse by files and folders, album edit mode).
This is immediately after any change.

Full write permissions for 175GB FLAC folder on local (desktop) folder. Mac mini 2018.

Removing and reinstalling PerfectTunes, restarting Mac does not work.

Please open System Settings / Privacy & Security, Full Disk Access, add PerfectTUNES to permitted apps and start PerfectTUNES again. Does this help?

I added error log display so PT will tell you why exactly it failed writing tags:

After a failed tag write, "show errors" button will appear in the top bar.

Same thing is happening to me. Not saving ID tags, gets stuck on "Writing Tags" and have to quit application manually. It also shows under Registration Status: "BETA version expires 12/2023 (Un-registered)". I have purchased licenses for all my dbpoweramp products, and that wasn't showing before.

You're running an old beta version. Please install registered instead, or get the new beta linked in my previous post.

I am having the same problems with Microsort the album art when selected will not save or any editing i do, does not come up with a fault ?

What files are you saving to? what filetype?

Ok so... error log shows an error for each attempt all equivalent to:

File: /Users/musicserver/Desktop/MusicMaster/Best of Jazz Audiophile Voices (2011)/CD1/03 - Malene - We've Only Just Begun.flac
Error opening file '/Users/musicserver/Desktop/MusicMaster/Best of Jazz Audiophile Voices (2011)/CD1/03 - Malene - We've Only Just Begun.flac', check no other program has it open. Operation not permitted (errno:1) [WriteIDTags]

However, checking which other programs have it open is a little beyond me, nothing different/unusual from my end, thanks again.

what other music programs (player, server, tagging, etc.) do you have on this computer? It would be one of those.

It will be a permissions issue, the files are on a network share?

You must only have read access to the files.

Note that "check that no other program has it open" part can be most likely ignored.

errno:1 is for EPERM:
"Operation not permitted."; Only the owner of the file (or other resource) or processes with special privileges can perform the operation.

Sounds like some security measure is interfering with PerfectTUNES operation, if other programs can modify them without errors.

Please open System Settings, find Full Disk Access controls and add PerfectTUNES to permitted list.
