Arrow keys on MacBook Pro not functioning as expected

Quote from product documentation:

Items in the track listing can be edited, click on an item (such as Title) and an edit box will show, to move to another field use the up/down/left and right arrow keys. Changes to tags are written straight away.

The arrow keys on a MBP don't do that. All they do is navigate within the current field when it's selected for editing in the main track listing for Album Edit Mode.
