ID Tag Editor Not Saving Metadata

I have been using PerfectTunes R3.2 for some time and I have found that for some reason I cannot modify/save the metadata on some of the music files I have downloaded.
The Files are read/writeable as far as I can see. Is there an attribute that prevents you writing the metadata to a file that has been created using another source ripper etc ? Copyright (possibly)?

Thought I&*8217;d just add to this. The files are .wav format.

First try to create a mp3 file, and see if can edit tags on that.

How are you testing that tags are not written to wave files? if you restart perfecttunes, what does it show for the edited wave file?

I did rewrite 1 album to .flac format. Didn&*8217;t seem to make any difference.
I Can edit tags that are already populated, but I can&*8217;t seem to edit things such as album artist (if it&*8217;s empty).
I can populate the missing items momentarily but as soon as I refresh the page they disappear. I know that you have to ensure that you click in another field in order to make edits &*8220;Stick&*8221;. I have noticed that &*8220;writing tags&*8221; appears momentarily on the ones that work.
Don&*8217;t have any problems with totally unpopulated tracks though.

Where are the files stored which cannot be edited, on a NAS?

Files are edited on my PC. They are however copied from/to a NAS.
