Merging Double albums

I want to merge a double album into one how do i do this with the ID Tag?

You would have to change the disc number to 1/1 for both albums. Then on Album 2 set the track numbers so they carry on after disc 1.

Lol the first album was from 1 to 6 and the same with the second album. I renumbered the second album from 7 to 12. But instead i got duplicate Numbers 1 to 6
It change it in the id tag but it didnt change it to the file itself.
