    What internal drive to buy for ripping audio cds

    I have been using a plextor CD-ROM drive for ripping cds. It has a scsi interface and there are driver support issues. So what's the best drive for ripping?

      AccurateRip collects data from all drives, normally this is only used to verify a disc is accurate, but can be reversed to calculate which drives are the most accurate (as measured by lowest % inaccurate tracks).               The atapi iHAS (Lite-On) 124 is readily available on eBay, and does the job.

              The thread garym mentioned is well worth a read as it goes into the different versions of the 124 - also several manufacturers badge Lite-On drives.
