Update TotalTracks Or TrackCount per collection

Hi, I'm trialling out dbpoweramp/perfect tunes so still pretty new to it, so far so good but I have one problem I can't figure out.
Is it possible to update a track count for a collection in a single location or do i have to edit the TrackCount part of the TRACK field in Edit ID_Tags for each tack individually.

Reason I am trying to do this is because I'm splitting a number of compilation CDs to individual LP's, I've worked out how to use the offset feature to correct the track number prior to ripping but can't see how to effect the track count pre or post ripping unless doing it track by track.

Microsoft co pilot keeps insisting I can if I invoke "Edit ID‑Tags (Advanced)" which would support this functionality but I cant find it.

Thought I'd stop putting my faith in a robot and ask proper people with real world experience.

I do not think you can easily do this, without individually editing each tracks tags.

As far as I know the only way to update TOTALTRACKS/TOTALDISCS is through foobar2000 with the foo_sqlite plugin; most (if not all) other taggers operate at the track level.

Hi Pete, welcome to the dBpoweramp world.

I believe the key issue is that TrackCount is part of the TRACK tag, so changing it isn't the same as changing a separate album-level setting. If you need different track counts for the individual LPs you're creating from a compilation, you may need to update that tag for the resulting tracks.

I wouldn't rely on Copilot's reference to “Edit ID-Tags (Advanced)” unless someone can point to that exact feature in your current dBpoweramp/PerfectTUNES versions. It sounds like it may be referring to a different version or functionality.

For your workflow, I'd be interested in whether another dBpoweramp user has a way to batch-edit the TRACK/TrackCount value across a selected group of files, because doing it one track at a time would definitely be tedious for a large compilation collection
