Write Tags to All - what does this actually mean?

Sorry if this is a FAQ but I couldn't for the life of me find the answer in the forum or in the documentation. Can someone tell me what "Write Tags to All" means in this context? All the files are tagged already. Is this going to overwrite tags in the file with those found at Accuraterip.com? Or write a tag to show they've already been checked? Thanks in advance.

I believe this will write new ACCURATERIP tags to all the files. I never use this myself, as AR tags were already written when I ripped the CDs. But one can do this without disturbing all the other tags (artist, album, etc.)

Thanks. And when you say ACCURATERIP tags - what do you mean specifically? If it doesn't rewrite artist, album, etc., what does it write? Thanks again for your reply.

I see two AR related tags in my files. Here's an example:
