How to force Perfect Tunes to rescan?

One of the features you can't test in the trial of PerfectTunes is saving artwork, so after seeing it did a nice job of allowing me to pick new artwork, I bought it.

I added artwork to about 200 albums yesterday and left it running (many hours)and it was still showing it was updating many of the albums when I went to bed.

When I checked today, PerfectTunes wasn't running, so I started it up again.
It's reporting that all the albums that didn't have artwork yesterday still need artwork, but when I check on disk, all those albums have a folder.jpg.

Can I ask WHY it takes so long?
How to I force PerfectTunes to recognise that it has actually done it's job and added album art?

So I restarted PerfectTunes and clicked on Import from folder.jpg for about a dozen albums. Waited for PerfectTunes to show all the album art and then restarted PerfectTunes.
After the restart it still doesn't recognise the albums I just updated.

What am I doing wrong? This just seems so broken

Yes. So what am I doing wrong? Why doesn't PerfectTunes remember what it's done?

It likely means the files are not being updated, you are best copying one album to the PC, point perfecttunes at that folder and do the update, just on that folder. See if it sticks.

I uninstalled and reinstalled PerfectTunes. Discovered the option allowing me to clear the database cache. This showed that many of the changes had been saved.
So I decided to change the scanned music to just a few folders. I added the artwork to each of the albums. When adding artwork to an album and the processing is complete, a thumbnail appears next to the album.

Why does the number of albums without artwork stay the same?
Surely as I add artwork, the number should decrease?

Now that I've found the clear cache, I just have to force a rescan after editing. Tedious but less tedious than copying folders locally and back again. I still don't understand why this shouldn't just work. It's a fast network drive, capable of copying large files at over 100MB/s (limited by 1Gb Ethernet, not the disk).

I'm not after a refund, but it is the part of the product you can't try before you buy and has left me slightly disappointed.

I'm not sure if you're interested in enhancement requests, but it would be good, when viewing possible artwork if there was a way to view a particular image full size before choosing it. Some artwork is very detailed and hard to read when just a thumbnail. I know once I've picked the artwork, I can use the dots menu to view it full size, but would be handy if you could do that when trying to choose. It would save the round trip.
