    No icon on desktop

I just bought the special bundle price of the CD ripper and Pefect tunes. I can see the icons on the desktop for: CD Ripper, Music converter and Batch converter, but nothing for Perfect Tunes.
Haven't used these kinds of products for, so just wondering if Perfect Tunes is meant to have an icon on my desktop. If it, how is it to meant to be put there? At the moment I've pinned
    Perfect tunes to my taskbar.

Try to reinstall, at the end of the install there is an option to create Icon on desktop.

I tried that. No difference. I thought I momentarily saw something about installing an icon to the desktop but the message didn't
stay up very long and in any case it didn't appear on the desktop afterwards.
Looking in the Apps tray of my Windows 8.1 64 bit system, I can see that Perfect Tunes has an option of being pinned to the
Start page or the Taskbar but nothing about the Desktop.
Is this a Windows 8.1 issue?
      Other suggestions?
I'm not even at the stage of ripping CDs yet, so I'm not even sure how important it is to have Perfect Tunes easily accessible
      via the Desktop.
I did install the product when I was offline. Installed two, actually. The other product successfully created a Desktop icon though.
The other thing was when I tried installing the product offline, Windows repeatedly asked me if I wanted to "Run anyway" despite
not being online. The other product wasn't so attention seeking.

P.S. at the end of the install process, the messages that I could see had three things ticked:

      Create icon
      Run program (blah blah blah)
      Run program (blah blah blah).

No, I don't remember what came after "Run program" in both instances.

It is very difficult to put icon on desktop in windows 8.1 (if the installer did not), you are best to pin to taskbar.

Is it a technical issue to do with Windows 8.1 which makes it difficult to create desktop icons? Will things become easier with Windows 10?

Unrelated matter, am I supposed to have gotten a registration key code with my purchase? If yes, I can't seem to find it in my email address.

No registration key, just an order number which can download the registered version.

How does that work? I.e. if I have a catastrophic failure on my PC, how would I go about redownloading the product for free?
Assume the worst! E.g. I need a new computer or something.

Thanks for that. I got the info for the order number which said (in part): "Reference R15.2 (Single PC)".

With that, does that cover all the elements of the bundle that I got? I.e. the ripper, the tagger and Perfect Tunes

                  etc?

No PerfectTUNES would not be on a Reference order number, only a Reference + PerfectTUNES bundle order number. Perhaps you bought it on its own with an offer link?
