Can not Initiate Registered Link Retrieval

    Hello

I can't Initiate Registered Link Retrieval, the link (http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/registration/) is a blank page with Firefox or IE in low security mode.
I need to reinstall a registerd copy of dMC.

my email is right, this is not the problem.

my problem is your registration page is blank with IE.
      Code:
      <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
      <HTML><HEAD>
      <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD>
      <BODY></BODY></HTML>
blank too with firefox, and there is no html tag

You must then realize that it is your own firewall and/or your browser security settings that block access? You don't actually believe that page is truly blank? You are seeing it so because your own security settings are blocking the display of that page by substituting a blank page.

Actually check the file called hosts and you may find it has the site's url in it is diverted to localhost (127.0.0.0).

IE and Firefox are configurate by default.
I've tried to put "dbpoweramp.com" in trusted sites. Nothing changed.

My firewall's log don't show any reject or problem with url *.dbpoweramp.com...

localhost ip is not 127.0.0.0 but 127.0.0.1

It works just fine for me
                What firewall are you using?

Just tried that link (I'm at work) and I also get a blank page. However the company that I work for has numerous layers of firewalls between my PC and the Internet.

When I get home I'll give it a try on my own PC.

                    Outpost Firewall 3.0.
I've tryed with firewall desactivated, always a blank page.

Did you try it with the firewall disabled or entirely exited? Do note that you should have sort of firewall, either a router or the Windows Firewall, still operating to protect you.

Disable Outpost, at least when you try to access sites like this. It's a nasty firewall and it will block you from everything.

Check your hosts file. Allow all cookies and images.

Put it all back afterwards if you really like being cut off from half the internet.

There are gentler firewalls that don't spoil everything. Outpost isn't one of them. It actually even changes characters in forms. Very nasty.

I tried to just "disable" outpost, no result.
I need to "quit" (stop programm and service) and the web page appears !

                          So, thank you for help

Re: Can not Initiate Registered Link Retrieval

I haven't used Outpost. I didn't know it installs as a service. I know from many other people that's it's way too tight for its own good plus it distor contents in forms by replacing certain characters it has no business replacing.

Actually, Christina, most firewalls make a Service that runs in the background and the application itself that runs is only interfacing with it. I know the Norton firewall and that my Sygate Personal Firewall do it. I think it is so that it can filter all traffic, not just that user's traffic, mabye.
