dbPoweramp with Powerpack: Can't Change LAME Settings

    Hi!

Any changes I make under Advanced for the LAME codec do not take effect. I cannot use a preset or VBR or ABR. Everything just goes back to CBR when I leave the advanced and go back to the LAME settings. Please help?

Did you install when signed in as administrator and are you using it when signed in as administrator or at least power user?

Can you use No Preset and manipulate all the settings yourself?

      yes and yes

and No (no preset doesn't work either) basically I can select whatever I want but when I hit OK the settings screen that is behind this dialog is unchanged and their is no effect on the LAME encoding if I continue to use the Music Converter.

Thanks for the suggestions though Any other ideas?

Uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled. No joy :(

Select a preset and go back into the advanced page, did it stick?

I also followed the uninstall procedure linked above. Then ran CCleaner to clean my registry. Then reinstalled Power Pack then installed dbPoweramp. Same problem :-S

I knew the problem would make me feel stupid when I worked out what it was... it did the last time too. I disabled Title Bar skinning for CDGrab.exe in WindowBlinds and Hey Presto! It works as intended now!

Update: looks better excluded from all skinning than just the titlebar but I thought you may be interested in the specific widget that was causing problems.

                Sorry for wasting your time.

This problem was reported by someone else a while ago I wonder if he was using WindowBlinds as well?

Wierd, must be some kind of message blocking (a message that dMC needs).
