dmc Audio CD Input Display Problem

I just updated my registered copy to the current version (11.5) and in the CD Input module, the top right-hand corner of the application window is truncated such that the two input areas are covered and obscured by the Powerpack icon button.

    Here is a screenshot:

    Is there a fix?

My first thought would be to uninstall/reinstall and, if that didn't work to do the uninstall procedure described in the FAQ on Uninstall Issues (which describes the procedure for clearing dMC's registry entries in Windows, you can find this here:
    http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=6828 ).

If that did not work, could you tell us your screen resolution and dsiplay settings?

    Best wishes,
    Bill

Thanks, Bill. I tried Uninstalling the new update and reinstalling and that did not work. I did not remove codecs, however. I will try again later taking the programs AND codecs out as well as clearing the registry entries as noted in the thread you linked me to. If that does not work, I'll pop back in. My windows is set to screen res. of 800x600.

Re: dmc Audio CD Input Display Problem

OK, I removed the programs and codecs from the windows add/remove programs module. I deleted the entire Illustrate folder from the Program Files Directory, and then I deleted the dbPowerAmp folder in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Illustrate

I then reinstalled the registered version 11.5 and I have the same issue occurring. I am running Windows 98 SE at 800x600.

Should I go back to an older version of dBpowerAmp or what?

Incidentally, so far the functions have been working, it's just the application window rendering that is an issue.

Have you tried re-installing the Windows 98 Common Controls files from here:
          http://www.dbpoweramp.com/Windows95-Update.htm ?

            Are you using large fonts?

This update was already installed. No solution.

No, small fonts (in the settings for the monitor, I assume). Problem persists.

Re: dmc Audio CD Input Display Problem

I can confirm that I have the same problem on one of my computers - the one that is running Windows ME, but the one with Windows Xp Pro does not have a problem. This happened after the update, just like the poster said.

The problem is just in the display. I tried successfully to widen the window as much as possible and then if you hover carefully over the overlapping areas you can actually find a sliver of space where it picks up whatever is obscured, so if you click on that you can enter Year, Genre, Comment, and use the Power button after all. My monitor is set to 1024x768 on the WinME PC.

I don't know if this applies to Windows ME: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/Windows95-Update.htm

Thanks, Christina, I don't know either but might give it a try. It is not a high priority for me though since I can use dMC Input with all options visible on my other computer.
