Where is the Music Converter uninstall .exe?

Hello, I want to upgrade from v11 to v11.5 so logically I want to uninstall v11 first. So I went to add/remove programs and the program is not listed there! I also don't keep all the shortcuts in my start folder so I don't have a shortcut to "uninstall dbpoweramp music converter." So I went looking in its program folder and I can't find an uninstall .exe file there either! So before I delete the Illustrate folder and all its contents, can someone pls tell me how I can manually uninstall this app? If that's not possible, is it safe to install 11.5 on top of 11? I hate doing things like that, though...

Any ideas welcomed and happy new year to all.

You uninstall from Conterol Panel > Add/Remove WIndows Programs.

But you don't need to uninstall in roder to upgrade.

I'm sorry... was I not clear when I said the program is not listed under add/remove programs? I CAN'T uninstall it from there.

But the question remains: What exe would be called up and executed if in fact I could uninstall it through that conventional method? Pls direct me to that exe file so I can execute it and thus uninstall it that way. That would be the next best thing.

Everything I've read said to never install apps on top of each other due to registry errors and such. I prefer to uninstall the old and in with the new... just like a new year!

      Thanks for any assistance,

      bkm

If it doesn't show up in Add/Remove programs I'm afraid it's not installed - or not available for you to uninstall.

Are you signed in as an administrator? Were you signed in as an administrator when you installed it?

There is no separate uninstall program.

As for having to uninstall, you only need to do so if you experience problems. You will not want to do so if you have a registered version, as you will then lose the registered status. If you have the l installer for the latest registered version, that's ok, otherwise you have to get it anew.

I believe it will be listed as dBpowerAmp Music Converter in the add/remove programs.

Usually when you attempt to install a new version of dMC it will detect that an earlier version is present and should ask if you want the old version removed before continuing with the installation of the new version.

Thanks for the responses but just so ya'll know for the future, here is the location of the uninstall executable in case somebody else's add/remove programs gets corrupted like mine and they can't uninstall music converter through conventional means:

              C:\WINNT\System32\SpoonUninstall.exe

Why the exe wasn't installed in the "Imagine" folder is beyond me...

In all honesty, there are a few programs I can think of that don't have an uninstaller.exe to use. I think they use the Windows Installer with particular switches pointing to the log of changes they did to the system.
