    16-bit or 32-bit .wav files

I need to use dbpoweramp to convert .wav or .cda files to 320kbps MP3. This is an intermediate step after converting .mmp (MixMeisterPro), and before converting the MP3 files to MP3Pro and uploading them to Live365.

In terms of my MixMeister output, which format is best for dbpoweramp given my ultimate goal:

    16-bit CD-quality .wav
    32-bit IEEE Floating Point .wav
.cda (requires temporary output to CD drive)

I would recommend 16 bit CD-quality .wav. I am not familiar with 32-bit IEEE floating point .wav I am not sure how well dMC (dBpowerAMP Music Converter) could manage 32 bit files. And you will be ending up with 16 bit files in any case. If your .mmp files are superior to cd in quality, you would not gain by converting to .cda first. If your .mmp files are of less than cd quality you will not actually improve them by converting to .cda first and the .cda will be equivalent to 16 bit standard .wav in any case.

    Best wishes,
    Bill
