    Help with converting needed?

    Hello!

Here's the deal. I'm trying to listen to and convert this next file:

    http://download.yousendit.com/798266833E857A15

WinAmp plays maybe 1, 1 and a half seconds of the file and then the playback stops. Windows Media Player won't play it at all. That's why I wanted to convert it. Converted file, however, does not sound like the original file (I listened to it after opening it in Nero Wave Editor).

Can anyone help me with this?

And, while I'm here, there's something else I'd like to know. I'm using dBpowerAMP Music Converter 10. I cannot seem to find the normalization option for when I'm ripping CDs. It's pretty visible in the converter, but is it also availabe in dMC Audio CD Input?

    Thanks

You need the powerpack for normalization, I believe, or at least the normalization DSP.
Downloaded the file, I will see if I can play it.

The file plays just fine for me. XMMS (Linux media player) shows that its a VBR 64kbps MP3 file with sample of 44.1KHz, joint stereo.
And, might I add, this is a very interesting file...

haha There's more where that came from :D :

And now I realized my mistake. The file I uploaded is Episode #5. What I described before goes for episodes 1-4. I'm sorry. Episodes 5-9 play just fine in WinAmp.

            Hello!

Yes, I downloaded the forst file again. Tried to play it-- it was the same. And after I converted it, I got the same result.

            Thanks for your help.

            And happy New Year!
