    Real time wavpack encoding?

    Hi,

I'm not clear about this ... is it possible yet to configure real time wavpack encoding with dB Poweramp?

In this case, dB would be encoding the mixer output of my soundcard and writing to a back-up drive.

    Re: Real time wavpack encoding?

Your asking if you can have dMC record what your soundcard is playing and convert it to Wavpack at the same time? Auxiliary Input will record what you are playing, but it won't convert until after you finish recording.
Also, use the new beta Wavpack codec based on a newer version of wavpack than the one in Codec Central: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?p=47415

Thanks - I figured that since the encoding is so fast its no problem to run dB after recording and then copy the wavpack files to USB key or mobile drive. Btw, I'm using this as a "lossless" back-up option for remote recording.

The quality of wavpack is quite amazing - excellent with high sample / bit rate recordings, reducing the file size down by half or less. So the speed of dB is really something a of godsend in this regard.

for some reason i though wavpack was one of the CLI plugins (must have been thinking of shorten at the time), the wavpack plugin pipes just fine for realtime encoding
