    dbpowerAMP won't display full cd

    Dear forum users,

    Today I've installed dbpowerAMP.
When I started the program it only displayed one track of the cd in the drive.

How can I solve this problem?
(reboot, cd in and out as well as uninstall/install don't work)

    Someone?

    Kind regards,

    Radiominded

I assume this is the case with any CD you try to rip.

First try opening dBpowerAMP Music Converter's Audio CD input, right click on the Options button, click on Standard CD emulation and look at the line Table of Contents detection. If it is unchecked, check it. If it is checked, uncheck it. Exit back to the Audio CD Input window. Is there any difference?

If not, click on the Options button, click on the line for your drive and click on the Advanced button. Making sure that your drive with the CD-RW disc is selected as the active drive, click on the Advanced icon on the line for selecting your drive. Change CD Communication to Windows Internal (Limited), click OK, click OK and see if that helps.

If neither of these works, please let us know.

    Best wishes,
    Bill

It sounds like your CD is copy-protected. Also try holding down the left shift-key before you insert the CD and up to about 10 seconds after it is inserted.

^^ if that's the case then its prolly already too late, the drm is already permanently installed :thumbdown

take heed, disable the windows autorun vulnerability :teufel8:

on topic: are you sure its an audio cd and not a data cd?

Ehh, I've accidently inserted a copy-protected CD without holding down the shift key, then realized I couldn't rip it, re-inserted it with holding the shift-key and ripped it just fine. It does depend on the copy-protected though. This type, only showing one track, seems to be benign and just requires a re-insert with shift-key normally.
